Millenium Theatres LondonThis 14 screen development for Millenium Theatres in Lisbon was completed in Autumn 2003 in the brand new stadium complex developed for Sporting Clube du Portugal one of the many new arenas built for the Euro 2004 championships hosted by Portugal.

The complex incorporates many unique architectural features and is built to one side of the stadium. Developed as part of a larger retail and leisure project, the main foyer of the theatre has spectacular views from high level over the pitch and opposite terraces of this, one of Portugal's most famous teams.

The brief for Martek was to develop concession and other retail areas that would maximise revenue potential at peak times whilst being able to be efficiently managed during quieter periods. The concessions, comprising two individual stands with 8 serving positions on each, include Martek's interchangeable front panel system allowing sponsorship and other advertising.

In addition there is a large customer bar area, guest services and ticket sales. Pick and mix uses the Martek food distribution system and all concession related equipment was manufactured/sourced and installed by Martek.

By the end of July 2004, Millenium had opened their new 21 screen complex at the Freeport retail park near Montijo. The largest multiplex in Portugal, Martek is proud to have been awarded the contract for the design, manufacture and installation of the retail areas of this very high profile theatre.
